MBBS in KU-Scholarship-Detail Explained

Kathmandu University(KU) is the first private university located  in Dhulikhel of Kavrepalanchok District of Nepal. It was established in 1991 with the motto "Quality Education for Leadership."



Kathmandu University School of medical Sciences (KUSMS) was established in collaboration between Kathmandu University and Dhulikhel Hospital. In 2001, KUSMS launched its own constituent MBBS program. Since then every year it conducts MBBS entrance exam for enrollment of students in MBBS program.

Eligibility criteria
Candidate must have:

Completed 10+2 or NEB or HSEB or equivalent qualification with Minimum 2.4 GPA in aggregate and at least C+ in Physics, Chemistry and Biology each with minimum C in other remaining subjects
OR

Completed +2 level in Science or equivalent level with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and at least50% of marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology each
OR

Completed Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc.), recognized by the University, with one of the following subjects among. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and at least one other prescribed science subject of study up to the ancillary level and having scored not less than an overall aggregate of (10+2 or an equivalent examination) with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
OR

Completed requisite course equivalent to +2 Science (Biological Group) with Physics,
Chemistry, Biology and English as main subjects after Certificate Level in
Health Sciences from Dhulikhel Medical Institute, Kathmandu University and
having minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and not less than 50% of marks in each
subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB).

Entrance Exam Pattern

Entrance exam is of 100 marks. There will be 100 Multiple Choice Questions. Each question carries one mark. All questions are from PCB.

Selection Procedure
Selection process is based on the Merit List of Entrance Exam. Students are selected and interviewed for scholarship seats in different KU affiliated medical colleges by MOE.
Interview is taken by the concerned medical college itself.
