MBBS in Patan Academy of Health Sciences(PAHS)

Patan Academy of Health Sciences(PAHS) is a public non-profit academic institution run with the sole aim of upgrading  the quality of the current health services of rural Nepal by training and educating dedicated and efficient health workers(doctors, nurses and other) for rural areas of Nepal and disadvantageous people of Nepal.

PAHS is located in Patan, Nepal and is based on Patan Hospital.

PAHS started to teach prospective doctors in 2010 as School of Medicine (SoM) and started nursing  programs under School of Nursing and Midwifery (SoNaM).

In 2017,PAHS started the course of Maters Program in Public Health (MPH) under School of Public Health (SoPH).

Every year PAHS provides scholarship to number of students along with many full-fee seats for enrollment in MBBS faculty.

Exam process in PAHS

Candidate has to give 3 papers which contain different topics and subjects:

Paper 1:Multiple choice questions (MCQs) on Physics, Chemistry & Biology

Paper 2: Mental Agility test (MAT)

Paper 3: Situational Judgment Tests (SJT)

Student Selection Process in PAHS

The student selection process is strictly based on Multiple choice questions (MCQs) that cover the topic of Physics, Chemistry & Biology of 10+2 or equivalent Science Course and Aptitude tests.

Aptitude tests are the tests employed to determine an individual's  competence to do a certain kind of mental work at a certain level and ability for learning and proficiency in a particular discipline and employing skills and achievement, through learning, into practice.

Situational Judgment test is employed to test moral value and feeling and attitude towards social responsibility of an individual.


Who can apply?

Any candidate with over 50% in aggregate of 10+2 and also in Physics, Chemistry & Biology each can apply.

In detail:

Full Scholarship :In order to apply for it Candidate must have passed class 8, 9 and 10 from government school.

Partial & Collaborative Scholarship: Anyone (passed from private or government schools) eligible to apply can apply.

Full Paying: Anyone (passed from private or government schools) eligible to apply can apply.
